Day 21 - Streamlining GitHub Repository
Today, my primary focus was on optimizing my GitHub repository and organizing the information more effectively. Upon reviewing the repository, I noticed that there was a considerable amount of clutter and redundant content. To address this issue, I took the necessary steps to streamline the repository structure and create a more organized space for storing information.
Firstly, I created a new folder specifically dedicated to code-related materials. This will allow me to store code snippets, examples, and other relevant code-related information in a centralized location. By segregating the code files, I aim to enhance accessibility and make it easier for users to locate the necessary resources.
In addition, I introduced a new folder called "Quick Start" to serve as the main hub for original content creation. Going forward, this folder will be the primary focus of my efforts, where I will craft fresh and informative content for the tutorial. By concentrating on original content creation, I strive to offer developers a unique and engaging learning experience.
To further declutter the repository, I moved all the older and repetitive information to a separate folder. This consolidation ensures that the repository remains clean and organized, allowing for better navigation and reducing confusion. The archived folder serves as a reference for past work while maintaining a streamlined and efficient repository structure.
By implementing these changes, I aim to create a more user-friendly experience for developers visiting the repository. The new organization will enable them to locate relevant resources quickly and efficiently, saving valuable time and effort in their journey of Postgres extension development.
As I shift my focus to the "Quick Start" folder, I am excited to delve into the creation of original content that covers the essentials of Postgres extension development in a clear and concise manner. This fresh approach will allow me to present information in a cohesive and engaging manner, ensuring that developers can grasp the core concepts and practical aspects of building extensions effectively.
